CONTENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

General
The web site will include an intuitive content creation/editing component backend based on a custom-developed Content Management System (CMS). This system is created for lowering the in-house maintenance costs for the website administration and further can be used by the Customer staff that had no previous advanced technical skills. Website can be updated remotely as the CMS is web based.

Content Management System is primarily developed for LAMP (Linux Apache MySQL PHP) platforms, though it also works on MS Windows Operating System with MS IIS webserver and is also compatible with the following databases: - Access / DB2 / Firebird / Foxpro / FrontBase / Informix / Interbase / LDAP / Microsoft SQL Server / MySQL / Netezza / Oracle / PostgreSQL / SAP DB / SQLite / Sybase / Teradata / Valentina

PHP and MySQL technologies make it easy to deploy the website on most present-day web servers. Extensive application of modern AJAX techniques makes interaction with the content manager easy and convenient for any user with minimal technical skills.

CMS Features
The key features which make CMS special are its multi-site and client-side approaches, its unique approach to how the stuff should be arranged and Auto-update.

Multi-site approach: Actually CMS consists of 2 parts: CMS Base and Sites. CMS Base is the heart of the system and is responsible for linking all sites together and is also a control panel for site administrators and managers. The multi-site approach makes it possible to setup sites on different servers and link them to a single CMS base from which the administration should be performed. CMS Base communicates with sites via FTPS/SSH/SFTP protocols, providing secure file transfer over internet.

Client-side approach: Most of the components of CMS have a bunch of client-side code making it possible for administrators and managers to quickly get their job done without having to wait for page-refreshes even if they are AJAX calls. The typical example is Menu Manager, where you can setup sitemap of the website in just a few minutes.

Auto-Update: Ground-braking system of built-in auto-updating means Customer CMS will always be as fresh, up-to-date and secure as the latest release we have just put on the server.

Text Editing / Formatting: The backend features an intuitive (What You See Is What You Get) editor ( http://tinymce.moxiecode.com/) interface that is familiar to office program suite users, and also provides advanced HTML design options. Beyond having the File Manager-integrated WYSIWYG, you can attach files, documents, images and links to any static text content.
